The time has come for us to start presenting solutions to the many and varied - and complex - issues facing Hamilton City Council and its ratepayers and residents.

It is time spending was brought under control - not by cutting services, but by ensuring our money is best spent so that we can enjoy the things that we love about Hamilton. The river, parks, gullies, Hamilton Gardens, libraries, cycleways, roads and our CBD.

If we want to keep these treasures we need Council to start taking a far more responsible approach to spending what is other peoples' money.

The articles published on this page will reflect not only solutions, but also champion the successes of our city. They will be written by people with skills, deep knowledge and experience, people who know exactly what they are doing.

The resources and features that made Hamilton a great place to live - but a place that we need to make more affordable, or else people will leave to satellite towns and leave the city a shell of its former self.
